My Morning Routine As A Beauty Pro.
Frankly speaking, looking fresh in the morning is a whole thing, especially if you work in the beauty industry like I do. People expect you to look like you woke up with glowing skin and perfect brows. Well, that's not quite realistic. But I do have a routine that helps me keep up pretty well. Here’s how I start my day:
---
1. I wake up early… even when I don’t want to.
Yeah, the snooze button tempts, but I get up around 6:30 AM. Why? Because rushed mornings = patchy foundation and regret. I like having a calm, slow start.
---
2. Water before coffee (yes, really).
Before I even think about caffeine, I drink a big glass of water. Your skin is a mirror of what’s going on inside, and dehydration shows up as dullness and fine lines. Not cute.
---
3. Skincare is non-negotiable.
Here’s my quick routine:
Cleanser: gentle, non-stripping.
Toner: hydrating, not the stingy kind.
Vitamin C serum: helps with brightness and protects from sun damage.
Sunscreen: even when it’s cloudy, even if I’m indoors. This is where most people slack, but I don’t mess with premature aging.
Hot tip: I apply my products on damp skin. It helps them absorb better and gives that glassy finish.
---
4. Minimal makeup, maximum impact.
Unless I have a shoot or client, I keep it simple:
Concealer under the eyes and around the nose.
Brow gel (fluffy brows make you look alive).
Cream blush—makes you look like you just ran through a field of joy.
Lip balm with a tint.
Mascara if I’m feeling spicy.
---
5. I don’t skip breakfast.
Protein, fiber, and healthy fats = glow from the inside. I’ll do eggs and avocado toast, or Greek yogurt with berries. Not just because it's Instagrammable. Because it works.
---
6. Mindset matters.
Before I touch a single beauty product, I take 5 minutes to breathe, stretch, or journal a few thoughts. When your mind’s in the right place, your energy is magnetic—and that’s more powerful than any highlighter.
---
Great skin and a confident vibe don’t come from 20 products or filters. They come from consistent habits, a little effort, and a lot of water.
Now tell me—what’s one thing you never skip in the morning?
